| This course offers a foundational overview of cyber defense and cyberwarfare, introducing students to the basic concepts, tools, and techniques used to protect digital systems. Students will explore common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and social engineering, while also learning about Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and the methods attackers use to gain unauthorized access. The course covers essential topics including secure password practices, network security basics, incident response, and the roles of individuals and organizations in maintaining cybersecurity. Through practical exercises and real-world case studies, students will develop a clear understanding of how to recognize, prevent, and respond to cyber threats.
